We are a collective of Linux[1] user enthusiasts seeking to create and implement a full curriculum enabling everyone from the Ubuntu[2] virgin to the long time professional. Our classes will be in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Everyone is welcome to use our curriculum and come to our classes.

Wikipedia proves that global collaboration on a commons (a resource commonly owned) is possible. The amount and quality of open source software shows that this collaboration can be very productive. An example is Firefox, an application that is free to all users. Everyone with the skills to program is welcome to contribute to its development.
Hi Evolvers, last week I blogged about an idea to create an open source collaboration with the art community here on Evolver. I'm just writing up this second blog to flesh out more of the ideas and details behind it.

In case any of you out there are fed up with Microsoft Windows and the constant software upgrades that necessitate unnecessary hardware upgrades... give Linux a try. More specific, give Ubuntu Linux a try.
