Is peace already here?

Buddha said: "Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned."

Something Seth Misterka said at an early Green Bus Tour meeting about the 1960's has stuck with me over this past year, "This time we don't need anger and righteous indignation, we need love."

Edible Plant Resources

I'd like to recommend a few of the resources that I have found invaluable in learning about edible plants.

Green Deane hosts a youtube series called Eat The Weeds. His channel has more than 100 videos on various edible plants. He is based out of Florida, but a good number of the plants he discusses are very common throughout the US. His channel is located at youtube.com/user/EatTheWeeds

What hat?

I saw a picture of this zombie ant with a little tiny mushroom hat. Only it wasn't really a hat. It was a mushroom growing out of the brain of this poor unsuspecting ant whose very existance was being remote controlled by a fungus attached to its brain. This picture disturbed me for a number of reasons. It was an exquistely lit and incredibly sharp photomicrograph with bright colors.

Taking Care of Our Precious Plant Friends + Questioning Plant Cloning

Recently I have started tuning in more as to how we raise plants affects them and thus us in response. I have realized in eating plants that I can tell how happy they are, how much their breeding reflects their original prototype, the nutrient density of the soil, and sometimes also the happiness and wellbeing of their caretakers.

The air inside your home may be as much as 10 times more polluted than the outside air. Today most people will spend as much as 90 percent of their lives indoors. As people spend more time indoors there has been an increase in the number and severity of allergic reactions and other chronic illnesses. So where is all this coming from?

Plant Teachers in our own Lands

Working with plants on a spiritual level is a revolutionary act. In my mind and heart I perceive the fundamental disharmony of Western society to be the disconnect from the spiritual aspects of life. Many of us feel like we don’t belong on this planet or don’t deserve to be alive. As if we were parasites in the earth; taking but not giving back.
