The Courageous Classroom: Turning Theory in Practice for Critical Thinking Student Citizens

On November 10th, I woke up early and set about my internet ablutions: following links, catching up on things, recirculating information via Twitter, lending some insights of my own.

Back From Boston Ayalogues

I just got back from the Boston Ayahuasca Monologues this weekend. "Fishers of Men" author Adam Elenbaas and I took the Bolt Bus from NYC to participate in the event.

The Power of the Social Media and What We Can Learn from Egypt

The choice of the Egyptian government to shut down the entire internet is no small thing. Certainly there were social ramifications, but news reports don't lend the proper to weight to how absolutely revolutionary this event is. Egypt is not some third-world, we-just-got-on-the-net kind of a country.

"The Social Network"

Watched "The Social Network" earlier tonight.
Was taken in immediately by David Fincher's ability to contrast humanity's high hopes with humanity's Shadow.
The movie reminded me of Fincher's most famous film, "Fight Club" at certain points. But I'm cool with that. It's like your favorite band, developing a style and exploring it more in other albums.

The Unordered Forum

Evolver is (what I call) an "unordered forum."

An unordered forum is characterized by theme, rather than explicit mission or purpose. If you read the about page, you'll see the explicit purpose of Evolver:

What Upgrades Would You Like to See on Evolver?

While E+SM membership has proved extremely helpful in keeping us afloat (thanks everyone!), we'd like to do a Kickstarter campaign to see if we can make some upgrades to Evolver in the near future. I'd love to see what recommendations fellow evolutionaries have as to how we can improve the site in the next few months (remember, tech takes time, even when you have the finances).

Spore Video: How We're Helping Each Other In Our Initiatory Process

Here's a video of my visit to the Long Beach Resilience Spore this month. In it, I talk about how Western Culture (energetically speaking) is a house divided, how the destructive fires of the third chakra may be pushing us up the body (and world) Tree of Life to a new vibrational consciousness of the heart.

The Love Spores Are In!

As we discuss what an Evolver Social Movement might look like, I'd like to take a moment to point out that the seeds (or should I say Spores) of it are already taking root. Here's the early report-backs from this month's gatherings. We'll have more coming in over the next few days.

What Evolvers Are Up To: "Give It Up" Report Backs?

So, the question has been going around the Evolver blogs. What actions do Evolvers engage in? Are they all talk or are they creating positive change in their communities? Well, this ain't no SpaceBook or MyFace. Each month, our intrepid Evolver Regionals bring together people in their local community to explore, discuss, and act upon topics important to our time.

The big 2102 Spore is finally upon us. The one where we tell Hollywood what they can do with their shadow projections of cataclysmic disaster. We'll discuss the positive evolutionary potential in the 2012 meme through a night of "counter-screenings" and discussions in cities across the world.

How Was Your Spore?

In SF this week, I attended my first non-NYC Spore. From kundalini yoga to sound healing to medical marijuana farming, the night proved both magical and educational. Here's a brief account of my experience and I invite fellow evolvers to share their own Spore stories.
