Hello everyone! I am new to this incredible social network and to my dismay, I found that the closest group is 100 miles away in Chicago! I live in northern rural Illinois in between Rockford and Freeport areas. I am going to start a group very soon but I must network locally first to build a small foundation. A few years ago I was inspired under the light of the full moon with the idea of people in many different places envisioning a healed, whole world.
I have done this practice for a few years by myself, but I wanted to invite interested folks to spend some time under the full moon tonight or tomorrow night envisioning a regenerative, restored world for people and nature.
Over this last weekend I co-produced two short films for Z Fest, a local annual film festival. We were able to develop a partnership with The Wedge, who donated $100 in food, and a local organic chef prepared our meals at cost. We used glass bottles and real plates, instead of paper and plastic. I did a lot of dishes.
So, either between this page, or the fb group page Evolver Asheville, I would really love to see some discussion! If we are going to collaborate in creating the world that we want, coming together to brainstorm and discuss is a step in the right direction!
I was struck at Larry's main message last night that Burning Man's success is built around survival and a sense of necessity. I'm curious how you all see that manifesting in your lives, communities, circles, outside of this particular festival...
