Stuck In the Quicksand of my Mind

For the past few months, I have been on a voracious hunt to expand my consciousness, not solely in the terms of using psychedelics to obtain this state, but through the constant discovery of new realms of knowledge that just 6 months ago I had never even known existed, nor had I ever stopped to think about the possibility of any of these domains of thought existing.

Evolver Calgary! Earthdance Calgary would love you to get involved! Let's create Critical Mass!

Do you have a tradition that you honour? that connects you to a particular tribe in a special way? Be it highland dance, singing sea chanties in the kitchen when the boats come in safe, a big communal meal at harvest time, or a sacred ceremony you perform on full moons?

The Untouchables

Jill came to church today: white skinny girl, pretty but gaunt in a sexy dress and clearly pregnant. Before I knew of any of her story I felt called to go up to her. Almost as soon as I put my arms around her she burst into tears.

We will tell them that it is the Good Lord inside us that made us do it

About a month ago I wound up with a 20-year-old troubled girl in my life. Jennifer has multiple strikes against her. She spent half of her childhood in the system because her mother beat her up so badly. Her mother is a drug addict who has had 17 children. Every single child was taken away. Jennifer reads at the 2nd grade level. She has been in drug rehab herself for chrystal meth and cocaine.

A (somewhat) Massive Undertaking...

I'm not sure how many of you would be familiar with Kyle "The Red Paper Clip Guy": http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/

It's quite an interesting concept really.

I recently decided to try and undertake a similar barter chain, with the end result being a VW Camper Van/Bus from the 60's-70's. The vehicle would then be converted to run on bio-Diesel.

Barbelith Lives!!

We've been talking a lot on Evolver lately about something that we can all agree on. Well I think something that at least 99 percent of us can agree on is that there is some sort of “creator”. Now I don't necessarily mean god, it could be the Logos, the Collective Unconscious, The Matrix, any number of different things, I think most of us believe in something more, a higher power.

i dont know who sees this...

i live my life in relative peace i suppose. but there are moments (several daily) when ill read an article in a publication or catch a glimpse of a news article on tv; and this sort of inflamed sense of empathy -i say inflamed because its violent and crushing; turbulent-.

ENOUGH! A PERSONAL MANIFEST FOR CHANGE

IT'S BEEN ENOUGH

I've had enough.
I got tired that my country I am so proud of, is divided into us and them.
I've had enough of feeling uncomfortable when I speak with my Moroccan neighbor.
I've had enough of my Prime Minister not taking responsibility for his policies meanwhile sending text messages to a popular singer.

Open Community - Lets help each other!

Now is the time where tribes are gathering, the internet can be used to our advantage during these times of quickening change. If you have anything you would like to share please feel free.

This is a place where you can list help you need, local resources, or even list items you are willing to gift away to someone in need. I believe no one on this planet has to go without.
