Terence was a witness and living testament to trans-dimensional reality. He understood that our information exists as a vibration of energy, but realized that ours is not the only frequency available (perhaps not even the most desirable).

I've been reading a bit lately about the Singularity. When I first heard the term I assumed it referred to the point at which the duality we have all been living in for millenium resolved into oneness. This is what I believe the whole 2012 thing is about. If you haven't seen Terence McKenna's take on 2012 and the I Ching, I've included a video at the end of the post.
I love Terence McKenna for his seldom heard opinion that psychedelics are the true sine qua non of mystical experience. Believers of all types guffaw, but McKenna lays it plain: doctrines have a lot to say, but what can you show me? Visionary plants can take us to transcendental realms of divine Logos and magical healing, reliably.
Visionary plants and psychotropic chemicals induce what many can only describe as profound mystical experiences. Rational-material assumptions about the nature of reality seem to dissolve before the eyes. The question becomes, what are these substances and how and why do they take us into perceptual dimensions above and beyond the familiar?
When I think of how I became aware of Terence and Dennis McKenna I cannot escape the process of shamanic initiation described by Lewis Carroll in Alice in Wonderland. Down the rabbit hole.
