Fall and Ascent

The Fall is present in us and likewise the Ascent. If I look at birds I see – rather unscientifically – that they are kept aloft by faith and love. I see nothing else – they’ve gained and earned their wings by pure and simple acceptance of the higher power. They rest in the hand of God continually.

Balance & Harmony

I was asked by my spiritual teacher to visualize what balance looked like in my life. At the time, I felt very much out of balance between my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies and was out of alignment. I also was in a bad place with work and knew I needed to get back to a health balance.

Our History, Our Grace

Much is left to be done, much remains on our plates to be addressed, pushed for, believed in, stood up to... but knowing that so much is possible in so little time, so few rotations of one small planet among the stars, fuels my internal fire to never stop believing in the change we know is possible...

Why, God? Why!

Why God? Why!

Meditating today. Trying to make sense of it all. Came to a centered place, felt the grace. But standing there on top of the mountain, I began to look down at all the suffering. All the war, all the strife, all the struggle.

Why God? Why! I asked.

I then saw myself in a large Crystal Atrium, like a church. There was a man there, like a Pastor.

Reality as a Reflection of Self - Life as Sacred Art

"If you build your world from only the pieces of the puzzle which you are handed, then the picture is intrinsically limited. It would be like trying to climb a mountain without knowing which end was up, or trying to find buried treasure with a map that was missing where x marked the spot. No one can tell you where your personal treasure lies… you have to figure that out for yourself..."

I am a Secret, Waiting to be Told

I am a Shaman

My heart shines blue as day
The night greets me before the morning comes
And winds my mind into circles before the day breaks

The dawn brings with it glimpses of the dew before it forms
The flowers whisper their dreams to me
And tell me things that poets long to hear

There are songs to whistle out of tune
And water left to drink for thirsty sages

Raspy Little Fingers

Death anxiety is driving me crazy! Simply put, I need my soul friends. Its been a long time since I visited here. Life has been full of paradox, upheaval, settling... the wheel continues to turn.

Seed To Salvation

Eons ago upon this living Earth
Repentant souls wanton for redemption
Mired in famine, illness and derth
Their lack of true faith, their only prevention

Though much time has past to this time of place
The yearning for forgiveness remains
But yet still lacking is their will of grace
Rending encumbrance of ills to sustain

What seed of wisdom failed to root?

What’s Next?

This, the latest chapter to this life’s story is but coming to its end. There is little of substance in its uniqueness to warrant telling let alone documenting. Essentially, each new day’s experience is less than more, of that which preceded it hence, not worth noting. The troubling aspect to this condition; there seems little indication to what or even how, the next chapter will unfold.

Forgiveness

Be this purgatory, be this hell,
For it comes a vile, ungodly smell?
Be it for greed or to lust’s sinful spell,
T’is residence to those whom from grace did fell.

Frail, weak and withered to bone,
By the thousands yet single alone.
All energies spent given to moan,
To deaf ears, a constant drone.

What pain removes from this, a soul,
Where eternity is paid an infinite toll?

We Talk of Climate Change But Not Human Change

Very few of us know how much we must change. We talk of climate change but not human change. We look through a window and envision a completely different vision of life on this Earth. And then that window actually is a door. We open it and we walk to our first task – and that might be gentle sustaining love, or a shout of horror.

Evolution from Father to Son

My father and I had dinner last night. We’ve had dinner each of the past 5 nights, breakfasts and lunches too for the most part. He is on the sixth day of a seven day stay with me. His trip initially consisted of a few days with me and a few days at a friend’s cabin, but the friend fell though and his trip became a week long father and son visit.

Faith And Understanding

This is an extract from George Gurdjieff's 'Meetings with Remarkable men', which I thought I'd share with you, as the words are resonating and timely.

Faith in times of confusion and fastly spinning evolution

We are living in amazing, frightful, intense times... All these desperate attempts to keep up a system based on secrets and power, a system which has no place in a society in which everyone should be peers, and we are all really growing into being peers, to see ourselves like peers! This is important.

The Untouchables

Jill came to church today: white skinny girl, pretty but gaunt in a sexy dress and clearly pregnant. Before I knew of any of her story I felt called to go up to her. Almost as soon as I put my arms around her she burst into tears.

We will tell them that it is the Good Lord inside us that made us do it

About a month ago I wound up with a 20-year-old troubled girl in my life. Jennifer has multiple strikes against her. She spent half of her childhood in the system because her mother beat her up so badly. Her mother is a drug addict who has had 17 children. Every single child was taken away. Jennifer reads at the 2nd grade level. She has been in drug rehab herself for chrystal meth and cocaine.

Do it For God. Do it For Country. Do it in Love.

Have you ever sat back and thought about the IDEA of a "DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE" and a "CONSTITUTION?"

The United States Constitution ROCKS!! We have soooo many RIGHTS that we CAN EXCERSIZE in America (we need a few amendments, tho). :)

I think it is a Duty to excersize our Political Rights. I have a duty to be involved politically. This is called Civic Duty.
