Rejoice my sisters and brothers! The evolution-revolution-enlightenment is here! It's expanding in real-time like a robust neural network unraveling tendrils in every direction of illimitable love and harmonious outgrowth.

We often think of evolution writ large, as a sweeping movement across species and worlds – and so it is; but for me, my own evolution is personal, it's something I can only experience in the quality of my relation to Life, to others, and to my self. It's a spiritual evolution on every scale, writ as large as the entire planet, or as small as, well...as small as I Am.

You’ve read all the books, talked until you’re blue in the face to your therapist and friends, said the words “I forgive you” repeatedly and still… you can’t quite fully relinquish lingering remnants of resentment. Think about it. Think about one person to whom you most owe forgiveness to - an absent father, a mother who has disappointed you, an ex-lover that hurt you.

Something that comes up again and again on the path to spiritual growth is the importance of forgiveness of one's self and of others in order to love more fully.

This is where I often get stuck. Mistakes and short comings I've made seem to hang in the air around me and acts of cruelty I've witnessed and experienced have taken up space in my heart.

Be this purgatory, be this hell,
For it comes a vile, ungodly smell?
Be it for greed or to lust’s sinful spell,
T’is residence to those whom from grace did fell.

Frail, weak and withered to bone,
By the thousands yet single alone.
All energies spent given to moan,
To deaf ears, a constant drone.

What pain removes from this, a soul,
Where eternity is paid an infinite toll?

A little boy grabbed hold of his cats tail while playing in the yard. The cat immediately began resisting, trying to pull away and making an awful noise. The boy's mom looked to see what was happening and when she saw it said to her son, "Johnny, let go of the cat...you're hurting it." Johnny replied, " But Mom, I'm just holding the cats tail.

You are hard and cold
Like a stone.
Yet I laid my head on you to rest.
Though your fire is vitriolic and vehement,

By the jury of forgiveness in my heart.

for sure it is one of humanity’s weaknesses to externalize one’s power – that is not something inherent to only one aspect of humanity or any particular teaching. everything has the opportunity to become a way to limit oneself, as well as expand oneself.

No one's "perfect" and in fact, we're all a little messed up in the head in one way or another, some more than others I'm sure.

As I matured through grade-school I started becoming very sexually curious about girls who I would end up sleeping next to at neighbors houses, etc.

"I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you." I silently repeated these words of ho'oponopono after sideswiping a mountain with my car today.

Today I took a day off from spiritual practice. For a moment I told myself it was because I simply had too much to do. The truth was that I just didn't want to receive anymore guidance that I might not choose to follow, something I have been doing with a certain issue quite a bit as of late.
