It seems that you can boil down almost every problem facing us to a lack of feeling. We've let the head take control, while the heart is neglected. Slowly but surely the capacity to feel is lost within each one of us. It is a world created by machines for machines. We have forgotten that we are not machines but intelligent and sensitive human beings.

It's so odd to be enmeshed in a system or a culture that is based on exploitation. The will to exploit is rewarded and those who exploit, profit. At some point, people believe that the only way to profit is to exploit and that anyone who is rich has become so by exploiting people, animals or the environment at the highest levels.
As more individuals suffering a terminal illness insist on taking charge of how they approach their end-to-life process, pressure is growing for societal institutions such as government, justice and medicine to enter into informed and compassionate discussions on this standing, contentious issue of allowing individuals the right to choose a dignified death.

Having read Beyond Civilization by Daniel Quinn, I find the thesis he puts forth quite similar to a view I have held to for many years though expressed differently.
I do agree with the majority of the Sat Yoga year zero post Except for the doomsday aspect. These new age people ( and I am not saying I am not one of them, or that I am necessarily) tell us that we are creating the future with our quantum thought powers through beliefs and speech.
