600 Tornadoes With Nothing To Say?

In April we experienced 600 tornadoes in the US. Last year the count for April was 110. The six fold increase is an astounding climate change. But how did 600 twisters happen? And why? In our public reports such basic questions are strangely restricted.

Prophetic Dreams

I saw the movie, “Mount Fuji in Red” by Akira Kurosawa, on YouTube again. I had not seen the movie since I saw it for the first time back in 1990, when I was in college. The movie urges humankind to stop the use of nuclear power in any form.

Should We Stay Or Should We Go? (Japan Quake, Part 4)

“Still here?” a passing voice asked me at a local supermarket over the weekend.
“Yes, I am,” I responded, a bit defensively, partly because it was obvious I was and partly because I resented that the question was one that had been troubling me ever since the quake.

Field of Change

The Earth is inside us, rotating in there like a conscience. These freak storms tsunamis droughts and extinctions only confirm what we carry inside. Each of us knows that we will have to change some personal consumption in the next few minutes. It might be a light switch, a perfume, a heated pool or a bite of food. Here it comes!

Half-Life

Half Life

our hands stretch out across the sea
between us
only reaching half-way into the fear and
the darkness
who could know when and how
the contours of the earth might shift
taking us down a few feet
throwing us down where
we are now in the muck of our souls
the one soul
taking us down
to examine half-heartedly the words the
last words
so many empty decaying words

The Big Japan Quake, Day 1 (Report From Japan)

The following is a written account of what I experienced the day of the big Japan quake. I live in Takasaki, Gunma, about 300 kilometers from the epicenter, though closer than Tokyo (so close enough!). It was written on the following Monday when I had time to give an hour to recollecting what had gone down. Here goes:

Japanese disaster

I am really kind of amazed that there isn't a blog on top that mentions the Japanese crisis right now?

Here is a real life example of something hugely shifting.. it could be just another natural disaster.. or it could be the earth shifting .. will we see more of these kinds of events?

How will humanity respond?
