Meditating today. Trying to make sense of it all. Came to a centered place, felt the grace. But standing there on top of the mountain, I began to look down at all the suffering. All the war, all the strife, all the struggle.
Why God? Why! I asked.

I will wake up, prolly eat a bowl of honey bunches of oats (love it!) , chill with my son until he naps at noon, smoke a bowl, then go for a little trail run in the forest, meditate, go home, take a nap, and enjoy the rest of what will be a beautiful sunny day with my family :P

These last days here in Florida, I’m roaming around inside big groups of Americans who are singing together. Christmas carols. On Christmas day itself, something about the words in those songs stopped me. Lines like “Joyful all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies!” and “The stars in the sky look down where He lay...” "And heaven and nature sing!"

I have been in world religion class all semester and have done my own personal interpretation of the bible (and other scripture). I attended Catholic school for four years and saw how skewed everyone is in their orthodox and linear interpretation of ancient ideologies. Arguing over rhetoric and word instead of meshing ideas like it should be. Here are a few of my interpretations.
Jesus said, "This earth and the planets surrounding it will pass away, and everything will become new. Consider this: In the beginning, you were organized as one body, but when you became two, the illusion of separateness entered the physical plane. Now you are many, and this illusion abounds. Listen to what I'm saying!
I grew up in a fairly strict Catholic household, where I was forced to go to church every Sunday and I can remember ever since a young child all I really wanted to do when I grew up was be like Jesus. I wanted to go around and spread peace and love to all, especially those that needed it the most. Live as a minimalist and share that which I had with others.
