The following is taken from a Facebook discussion about patriarchy and women’s oppression in class society – alas, the original conversation has gone missing, but I DO have my response, which at least makes some sense out of context:
Hey everyone maybe you could help me!{I'm going to keep it short and to-the-point}
Right now I'm sitting at the Omega Institute, a very conscious and spiritually inclined school that promotes awareness and diversity. As a volunteer I get to be a part of the community, live and eat for free and to take part in a multitude of lectures and classes. Its a pretty sweet deal!
Churches, monarchs, states, robber barons, communists, fascists, and globalist.
Rather than replacing one another, they are simply all existing at the same time. The control freaks are all vying to dominate the biosphere and set the manifesting agenda of the human race.
We live in a world entirely made up of Meme’s. What is a Meme you might ask? A Meme is an idea that has been permeated through culture to the point that it is consensually accepted as reality; accepted as “the way it is”. This my friends is an unacceptable way of living our lives. Most people can point to a large number of things that are wrong in today’s world; that’s the easy part.
In complexity theory, it is observed that when a simplified and idealised population reaches a certain threshold of component complexity, a system of negentropic novelty emerges spontaneously and sustains itself at a higher frequency of order, auto-catalysing and self-organising.
It has always been tempting for thinkers and historical observationalists to overlay a narrative onto to what they have known of the world; humans have a long and colourful history in the denial of contingency, in the art of myth, and of fevered teleological dreams.
