Mind-Expanding Music from 2010, part 4: Flying Lotus

Flying Lotus had built up a strong underground following by the time his third album, 2010's Cosmogramma, was ready for release. The title basically means "cosmic drama," and FlyLo (real name Steven Ellison) wanted to convey that idea in the music.

A Shamanic Fools Coyote Encounter

Drinking cactus juice is no walk in the park, the viscous texture lingers in ones mouth. Brooklyn by Torchlight

A clear night, full moon above; but around me, a dark fog. Unable to see properly, I lit the Peruvian Torch. My eyes dilated under it's illumination, helped me to see. There was a miasma all around me, a mist as black as pitch. It was a soft field, comprised of externalized thoughts. I must be sick.
