We Need to Get Beyond the "Working" Mentality

The idea that one must work has been ingrained in western culture for so long that I realize it'll be hard to break the spell. However, as we've been witnessing more and more people without work and struggling to survive, I think it's high time we discuss the psychology of work being a necessity.

On spreading the word EVERYWHERE....

Right now I'm sitting at the Omega Institute, a very conscious and spiritually inclined school that promotes awareness and diversity. As a volunteer I get to be a part of the community, live and eat for free and to take part in a multitude of lectures and classes. Its a pretty sweet deal!

Let me introduce myself. I am an educator in Allentown, PA, USA; licensed in art education in both MA and PA.

I have been subbing and just barely eeking out an existence with my wife and two children on the meager money that substitute teaching pays... but art positions have come and gone and others get hired.
