I sat in the darkness of the maloca waiting, massaging my stomach. I could feel things moving inside me, but other than that, my perception seemed normal. The acid taste of Ayahuasca lingered on my tongue like thick, rancid Vegemite.

“Expectations are limitations” Mateo, a facilitator at the temple, had told me in preparation for my first ceremony, “There are no rules.”

I am going to Peru this summer for about 3 weeks. I will be goin to Iquitos and then out into the Amazon...then to Cusco and the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu...then to Lake titicaca at some point.
I was just wondering if anyone has any experience or tips they would share w/ me....also any tips on ayauasca would be appreciated.

     I'm sorry if I come off a bit harsh here, but I feel that this needs to be addressed. I'm sure everyone recieved the same email I did from Evolver/Reality Sandwich regarding the "Ayahuasca and San Pedro Retreat with Daniel Pinchbeck". Now I may be alone in my feelings, but is this really the best way to "evolve"?
