We cannot allow governments to censor the internet. There are bills that would allow government censorship over the internet being debated in multiple nations including the U.S., U.K., and Austrailia. They are moving with this legislation very swiftly and quietly. I fear if people don’t get involved in this soon it will be too late.
I wrote this article some time ago and then completely forgot about it, so some if it is less current than it might have been. However, I feel the issues it raises continue to be of relevance so I thought I would share.
