I was given the great opportunity recently to interview Summer Burkes and (Evolver's own) Natalie Pierce, two activists working in New Orleans right now, on my radio show. We talked about:
* The mood in New Orleans
* BP’s restrictions against press, scientists, and people wanting to help
* Effects of Corexit, the highly toxic dispersant being used
Unfortunately we don't get this sort of stuff in Australia, I suppose compared to many other nations, we are progressive to an extent. Anyway happened upon this beauty recently, again apologies to those that already know it, http://www.progressiveradionetwork.com/
The second podcast of Sol Manifest Radio is up and out there to stream or download. It is an eclectic mix of many genres from all over the world. I am seeking more track submissions from artists, and suggestions from music fans.
Hi, All. I just put up the first episode of this Podcast I'm doing, Sol Manifest Radio. It is basically a radio show that you can stream or download to listen to later. I play alternative music of multiple genres. It is very experimental and mind bending at times; oscillating between hard and soft, light and dark. I recommend taking a walk with it on head phones.
Recently I've been reading alot about the FCC's recent reprovisioning of frequencies currently allocated to the (soon to be) former analog UHF TV band known as the 700mhz band and auctioning them off to giant communications infrastructure providers like Verizon for their own for-profit use.
