One of the biggest problems we have in our society today is the major onslaught of free radicals. You hear the buzzword "free radicals" all of the time mentioned in everything from foods to sunscreens but do you really know what they even are?

For the longest time I played music, mostly guitar, in a pretty predictable way. I learned other peoples songs and liked to play them in social settings, gigging for a while and hosting a handful of different open mics around town. Every now and again I would get a glimpse of music serving some deeper function, and how it could reflect and resonate with experiences of my higher self.
Has anyone ever done this? I never have but I've been really wanting to just freak out and just smash this thing lately. I am writing this post on the longest night of the year, energized by this evening’s solstice gathering where the message was clear: let go of your old ways of thinking, and integrate that which lingers in your past, awaiting your attention.
Although commonly defined by its link to audio perception, sound is also “transmitted vibrations of any frequency.” The tree falling in the forest transmits waves, so technically the answer to the question “…does it make a sound?” is yes, regardless of whether anyone’s around.
This is an interesting article on new research regarding how the protein alpha-synuclein functions in the brain. What struck me were the descriptive parallels on the molecular level to much of what is discussed here. Terms like, dance, shape-shifting, resonance, switching back & forth "between states", etc.
