Insight

TV these days isn't what it used to be. We have hundreds of channels, yet few if any of them have programs worth watching. And so one thing I do to rectify this is to look at old shows from the 60's -- from before I was born -- to see what people watched then, and whether there is something there for me to learn from.

TV, You and Your Slavery

When you watch TV your brain waves are being changed. You are being put into a semi suggestive state due to flicker rates. This isn’t conspiracy theory this is simply the affect of the flicker rates on your TV. However, being a former businessman I can see how this would be great for advertising. Get you into a suggestible state and then tell you how great my product is.

TV, Alpha and Beta thinking and Suggestible States of Mind

I want to talk to you about your TV. In this post I'm going to post links to the sites that show you what I'm talking about. I feel like everything I've been working on is suddenly coming together with a new clarity. On March 18 NPR ran an excellent interview with Tom Burrell, who worked in the advertising industry for 40 years and just published a book called Brainwashed: Challenging the Myth of Black Inferiority.

Using Your Brain

What goes up must come down. That is a fact. Isaac Newton discovered this while sitting under a tree. While it is commonly believed that an apple fell onto his head and he discovered the effects of gravity, the actualities of this story cannot be verified.
