Balinese magic, Levity vs. gravity, Inspiration

In Bali, making an offering to the gods requires three things: holy water, smoke, and flowers.
They are wrapped in incadescent, almost neon green leaves, built in boxes of woven thatch and placed in entryways, near statues of ganesh adorned with a single flower petal, usually bright red, a vortex of welcoming infinity.

An eerie instance of unconsciousness

I had not discovered shamanism or read anything about what I was writing about. I was simply writing for my journalism class in which most of my writings were never published (you'll see why).

The Machines Of Time

Science will construct them on a far day:
The beautiful machines in glitter and chrome
To project the mind in a wonderful play
Like a lightening flash to Utopia's dome.

Robots and cyborgs will do the hard labor,
Humans at leisure create dashing art,
Everyone is at peace with his neighbor:
Time is the flight of a tranquil dart.

Or will they be used for strife and quarrel,

Blundering Blindly

It has always been tempting for thinkers and historical observationalists to overlay a narrative onto to what they have known of the world; humans have a long and colourful history in the denial of contingency, in the art of myth, and of fevered teleological dreams.
