InfoWars versus InfoEvolution

The social media generation is the most memetically-susceptible generation in human history. We are like the Native American tribes, except instead of smallpox-laden blankets we are being corrupted by conspiracy theory memes for which we have no antibodies.

Activate the Dream

I believe that life is a dream. Its pretty simple actually. I realize I am dreaming yet am not always self-reflective enough to be able to predict or project in a focused manner, as a magician would, the precise images I would like to step into. Therefore, many times the “dream,” used now in the sense of an idealist goal-oriented wishing, stays stuck as a dream.

My Year in Review, 2010

2010 was a crazy year for me, with some of the highest highs and lowest lows that I've ever experienced. I moved out of the country, got published in a real (albeit online) magazine, began writing my first book...and even bottle-fed three foster puppies! By the holidays I was totally worn out.

Aftermath - Part 1

The sun rose at the end of a valley of ruined skyscrapers. That part of the city was flooded. The water reached the third floor of the surrounding buildings. A lone figure stood on a makeshift raft drifting along the golden path of solar reflection. Although going with the flow he used a staff as an oar. He was thinking.

Entangled: Chapter Four
Graham Hancock

Still, surely she must summon help? While there was even the faintest hope, surely she couldn’t just let her meat body expire? Could she? And what would happen to her aerial body if she did? Perhaps she would just go pop! and disappear?--From the novel, Entangled.

Entangled: Chapter Two
Graham Hancock

Fumbling for her ID, Leoni spilled the contents of her purse all over the passenger seat and burst into tears to create a distraction when she saw, under the unforgiving glare of the street lights, not only her driving license, credit cards, money, tampons, condoms and lipstick but also a dozen bulging wraps of cocaine. -- From the novel, Entangled

Entangled: Chapter One
Graham Hancock

The Uglies were supposed to be mindless animals, like aurochs or rhinos, lacking in smarts and incapable of any of the finer emotions. But the eyes of this youth, staring at her with such urgency, were entirely human and filled with sensibilities she had no difficulty recognizing. -- From the novel, Entangled.

About Me

Bio

I'm a freelance writer, musician and all round creative type. I currently edit and write for the webzine MightyMercury, review books and conduct interviews of authors for The Examiner in Denver. Having never devoted myself to a canon of belief beyond my own impressions aggregated from several such (them all), I'm not sure what form it's gonna take, this big shift we're undergoing now, but only a fool would deny it. Right?

A friend of mine once told me I tried harder to be a human than anyone else he'd ever met, by which I think he meant I take life very seriously, as in I'm not just kidding around over here (which is a sign of my good intentions). Either that or he meant I have to work very hard to succeed at what comes naturally to others (hopefully the former).

The Great Bay: Chronicles of the Collapse
Dale Pendell

The Old Poet had been preparing himself and his community for fifty years. When the Collapse hit they already had their own schools, wineries, mills, gardens, power, and two generations of experience. Nonetheless the Collapse was traumatic, if not on the scale of the urban disasters.

Sol Luckman

About Me

Bio

Sol Luckman is author of the bestselling CONSCIOUS HEALING: BOOK ONE ON THE REGENETICS METHOD, editor of the popular free ezine DNA MONTHLY, and cofounder of the Phoenix Center for Regenetics. His articles on the Regenetics Method have appeared in numerous venues, including WELL BEING JOURNAL, KINDRED SPIRIT and ATLANTIS RISING, and also have been featured in the alternative medicine anthologies MESSAGE OF SPIRIT and HEAL YOURSELF WITH BREATH, LIGHT, SOUND AND WATER. NEXUS called CONSCIOUS HEALING, which currently is being translated into its fourth language, a “paradigm-reworking book” that introduces a “revolutionary healing science that’s expanding the boundaries of being.” In addition, Sol is author of the critically acclaimed BEGINNER'S LUKE Series of seriocomic novels that hilariously explore the role of consciousness and imagination in creating reality. A respected New York publisher, whose authors feature a National Book Award finalist, made an offer (subsequently declined in favor of self-publishing) for the six-volume BEGINNER'S LUKE Series, which was selected out of a yearly “slush pile” of nearly 8,000 manuscripts. Luke’s signature obsessions with self, sex, satire and slapdash highlight a serious, and life-changing, point: CONSCIOUSNESS CREATES. The point is there is a point to living in the imagination—for only through it can we reinvent our ourselves and our world.

free books are the best books

So my books been out since November and my sales doubled over the last month, so I decided that I would make the e-book of it free for the day. Well my publisher screwed it up, so I'm going to do it myself. What's more, I think I'll keep it up a little longer, maybe a week, give or take. I didn't write it with profits in mind anyways.

THE RELUCTANT SLAYER

Fiction: I knew something had gone wrong when the pianist slumped forward. At first, no one realised what had happened. It was an enjoyable party with plenty of noise, plenty of drinking, and most of my attention was on Sue, dancing and drinking straight out of the bottle. Which man would she have her eye on tonight, I wondered.

CAUGHT IN THE LIGHT

Fiction: He didn’t believe in such tales. Oh sure, he’d heard all about the barn – how people fear to go inside at night – how you could disappear for ever in there. But he was a big fellow, rational, and he wasn’t about to be put off by ridiculous folk stories. As he approached, a lantern light from deeper in the barn shone on a man and woman in the door.

Post Modern Medicine: A Talk with Matt Roberson
Adam Elenbaas

Roberson's strange new novel, Impotent, is the first of its kind. Bravely exploring consumer medication culture while simultaneously weaving a good story and hypertextual presentation, Impotent is just what the doctor ordered.
