One idea that has somewhat recently been floated around for future NASA space missions is that of sending humanoid robots to the moon:

Rockets are expensive and dangerous, not the mention all those g-forces you have to pull to ride them into space. It's a wonder there haven't been more accidents to date. How, then, will we ever get into space safely and cheaply? Is there a better alternative to rockets?

This is an extension of some discussion from one of my news postings. if you've kept up with with my postings, you will have noticed I write a lot about sci-fi and The Future; however, almost all of it is about the NEAR future. in this posting I will instead talk about the far-but-not-too-far future, by which I mean between 100 and 1000 years hence.

An expanded awareness of our cosmic origins is on the verge of being remembered. I can sense it. This earthly paradigm is the foundation from which we are about to learn of so much more…

I'm ready to remember all that has been veiled. Our connection to everything else in the universe and beyond.
