What if the designs and ideas put forth by 20th century toys could solve the sustainable building resource crisis we face now? This problem will only grow worse as we continue to build our homes out of wood and demolish them when they are no longer safe and usable.
The earth is the home to millions of species. Humans are just one species out of hundred of thousands of plants, animals, fungi and bacteria. Even against such odds humans have become the most invasive organism the planet has ever seen. Since the beginning of conscious awareness, humans have felt the need to excercise our power over the world around us.
For those with an adorable Feline Familiar in their home Jessie and I have launched a section on Green & Growing: Cat Tales. It is a new section on our blog concerning a variety of organic, healthy disciplines with regard to Cat (or as we say Kitteh) Care.

Over this last weekend I co-produced two short films for Z Fest, a local annual film festival. We were able to develop a partnership with The Wedge, who donated $100 in food, and a local organic chef prepared our meals at cost. We used glass bottles and real plates, instead of paper and plastic. I did a lot of dishes.
The one question I return to: From the center of our vast population can we human beings reach out to the thing that created us? The industrial inebriation of traffic-life, computer-life, and military-life - is so complete. We as the top dog species isolate ourselves from the Earth – just as the Earth makes the effort to talk to us. And oh – it’s trying to get our attention!
You see the damage to our planet each day and wonder what is the one thing I can do? The biggest thing you can do is quite simple: Stop eating animals and animal products.
