As we seek to experience our primal/cosmic natures, the imagined solution may only be compounding the problem. If the (ab)use of entheogens were decimating our own individual "biospheres" and preventing us from having full access to our faculties, this would exactly mirror the ways in which our disconnection from the environment has affected the Earth's biosphere.

About Me

I've been on quite an adventurous spiritual journey since I got sober 17 years ago. I've been blessed to be able to use my weaknesses to help others overcome addiction. My path has led me all over the world, searching for "WHO AM I". I feel these are truly amazing times we are living in, and I have a choice as to how I'm going to take this ride. Am I gonna sit on the sidelines and question the motives of others, or am I going to get off my ass and do something to help others evolve. My life is simple and abundant. My truth is this whole trip is an inside job, and that it's my thoughts that create my reality. If my life is fucked, I can look into the mirror as to why. God is Love.

About Me

I'm from Vancouver. I absolutely love it here; the trees, the ocean, and yes even the rain! It makes me feel like I am an elf living in a mossy damp magical forest when its rainy and foggy. So I'm happy. When I'm not dreaming of being elfin, I dream of being a shaman or an anthropologist who studies them. Or a documentary film maker documenting DMT ceremonies....and sometimes an Enya-like songstress. But instead, I am a graphic designer. Although it's not exactly what I imagine myself doing. I just trust the universe that somehow I will use this more than any other of my ideas to help our evolve our world in one way or another! :)
- Skills and talents
- Making beauty....usually on the computer. Went to school for Fashion Communication, got a bachelors degree in design, watched zeitgeist and said screw it all! So most of my experience is just freelance graphic design. Making ratatouille. Getting bored with my current locations and moving. Decorating my house with very little money. Speed-reading. Staring off into space for hours at a time.

My next book is currently undecided, but I am considering Ram Dass' "Be Love Now."

- Currently unemployed and between undergrad and graduate school. I also have some creative projects in development on the side, such as my own website, an online tshirt business, musical projects, and my writing. I feel that writing is what I am ultimately meant to do, and so plan to eventually be a writer, as well as teach and do research.
On Creativity, Marijuana and "a Butterfly Effect in Thought" Many creative tasks require an expansive associative net, a "flat associative hierarchy." Creative people need to make far-reaching connections among all sorts of seemingly unrelated ideas. The heightened ability to make novel associations is the hallmark of creative thinkers, who are always searching for epiphanies. This is why Marijuana is perhaps one of the best cognitive tools for creativity.

When I first encountered the mushrooms, I had been taking antidepressants for years. The mushrooms told me I was an addict and that the pills were toxic to me. After being hospitalized due to my reaction to Paxil at age 19, I decided the mushrooms were right. Eventually, I met a Mazatec grandmother who holds a Niños Santos lineage of curandisimo.Â
The psychedelic philosopher and mushroom advocate Terence McKenna sometimes seriously and sometimes playfully predicted that a transformative event for planetary consciousness would happen on December 21, 2012. In Spring 1999, not long before his untimely passing, McKenna discussed his pathbreaking ideas with Erik Davis for this now-legendary article for Wired.
