The Electric Jesus zapps me

I attended The Electric Jesus book reading at East West Books in Seattle last week and it was a packed room. I hadn't read the book yet, but by the time the session was done, I knew I had to.
One question Jonathan always asks is "who here feels they are on an iniatory journey" most people raise their hands, then he says, you realize if you ask that question at COSTCO you are not going to get 30 people to raise their hands. I had not considered my recent life "Iniatory", but with reflection I realized, I had been for a while. I've felt called to preach, I've been on a healing journey for many years both physically and mentally.
Running into Evolver back in 2010 was a lark at Seattle Green Fest. Out of nowhere I stumble on their booth with this strange movie and cool buckminster fuller references. I didn't know what to make of it, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to look into it. To be honest it changed a lot for me, my outlook, and my ideas about the future and our species. At that point my view of the future was Space colonies and transhumanism of some fashion. After spending time reading 2012: Time for Change and seeing the film, and the very interesting conversations on this site I saw our future has a huge hurtle to jump before anything can be done to move into space colonization, if ever. That hurtle is the exploration and knowledge of the self - basic consciousness at it's core. Who are we, what realy is our reality, why is spiritual exploration and states of consciousness not part of medical and biological science. And I found out I was not alone in asking these questions.
At the book signing I met people I feel it was synchronisity to meet. Synchronisty was something I used to reject before, now I realize it is more than coincidence, slightly less than magick, something not to be ignored.
OWS and the Arab spring reineforced a lot of the conversations had on this site, that now consciousness is changing, we are getting ready to open our eyes and really see for the first time in centuries.
The iniation has begun, and no one can leave the room till the sacrifices are made and the knowledge is recieved. What we do with it is always up to us.

Hey Tektite Serpent, Thanks
Hey Tektite Serpent,
Thanks for sharing your experiences from the reading, Evolver as a whole. This tour has revealed to me just how much magic we are co-creating as a community. This tour has been full of synchronicities and I've been finding out just how many folks have met each other through our collective work. We really are "Finding the Others" as one of our taglines goes.
Best,
JTP
beautiful community
Thanks, Tektite Serpent.
I really enjoyed reading The Electric Jesus. It's adventurous, eccentric, educational... I feel like it became available to me at just the right moment. Even that was like a synchronicity. I'm fairly new to evolver still, and I just want to thank Jonathan and the other guys for starting up this website because it really has felt to me like I've been "Finding the Others"
Hey William, I'm glad you
Hey William, I'm glad you enjoyed the book, and are Finding the Others through Evolver. If you're up to it, perhaps you could write a review on Amazon. That's a huge help for a first-time writer like myself.
Best,
Talat
