About Me

Bio

My name is Dmitri, 22, Russian, born in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and having lived in California between ages 11 and 22, I just got back to Almaty. At about 18 I started reading Jung (not saying I understood much) and made a loop in my reading via quantum physics to eastern mysticism and from there spread out over ancient traditions (Eliade). By the time I got my hands on Daniel Pinchbeck's 2012 I was very much at home with it; neither fanatical nor cynical, but looking into it and our times with a serene and profound wonder. I am inclined to introvert and think. I consider myself a dedicated psychanaut, though I've been moderate with psychedelics, and articulate about it in one way or another. I journal to process all my experiences. I have no formal education, of which I am a bit self-conscious and yet not sure formal is necessary. I have been a prodigal son, and do repent: may it keep me from pride which would render me insensitive. As of March 2009 I am trying to figure out where and what to study, or whether to set up a studio in which to read the good stuff and simultaneously flip out about it on multiple mediums of art. Unfortunately I have no acquaintances who understand anything discussed here, so any suggestions about how I could be helpful in these times of transition I would appreciate and seriously consider. Also, after California, Kazakhstan seems like a mankind’s greatest disappointment: rich barbarians. So, I am bringing the new vibes around really stiff-necked people, and I can’t even tell you how difficult and disappointing it is.… Sigh. Thank you!
