Red Ice Radio hosts Aaron Franz and covers various subjects including: technological singularity, transhumanism, public relations, propaganda, occult symbolism, esoteric religion, eugenics, geopolitics and mind control.

In this program, Aaron talks about his new book,"Revolve."

Is technology speeding up human evolution or are we just spinning our wheels? Artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, implantable chips, and life extension and many other technologies are being promoted as the way for humanity to become something radically different.

The transhumanist movement claims that by applying them to our biology, we will become posthuman. A new religion for a new age is being born, and it centers around man's scientific attainment of eternal life.

Topics Discussed: Revolve, revolution, AI, TV-series, transhumanism, privacy, the mind of god, the new man, the new system, technology, manifesting yourself, dissolution, free will, manipulation of perception, eugenics movement, philosophies, telepathy, artificial revolution, people devoid of spirituality and human evolution.

"Seek not abroad, turn back into thyself, for in the inner man dwells the truth..."

Any one read Kurzweil?

Moore's law and the speed at which things eventually become infinitely smarter. Makes me wonder, if 2012 will be the birth of AI? Has anyone else approached through that route yet? Just tying in loose strings and playing dot connector, more playing with the idea then subscribing to it at this point.

Thanks for another great post Absalom

Is the Alchemical Golem....

...the building of Ego or a representation of the already existing consciousness of the times? To be more specific is it the underlying consciousness of a stage of selfhood of the individual or of the group?

No real idea, but I'm gonna have to go with reciprocal for now.

"Seek not abroad, turn back into thyself, for in the inner man dwells the truth..."

a positive transition? thoughts on gods, humans and machines

I mean, if we're creating this, literally writing the programming, can't we write in a win win scenario or something....

What was creation before God? and if God is Creation, then what was the first inspiration? how was the first sound created? what bore this vibration?

reflecting the mind of God might be the best we could do - but to create this? would suppose that it could be contained, understood, quantified... as if knowable by zeros and ones or any other set or system (like, totally as if!)

Suppose this perspective as original ground: 'God' is simply a word with as many meanings as there are moments to contemplate, a concept defined by it's unknowable, limitless, infinitude - every person - every atheist, theist, every person has some idea which the word 'god' will conjure

if this is not the case, then it becomes the case once the conversation starts... like, "you know, God." and in reply, "sorry, no, what?" And in this moment, the very contemplation of God fills the void with meaning, images, words, moments, ideas - agree with them or don't - the concept has been born and can now be discussed, even if negated, which will only broaden the infinite scope that is the meaning of 'God'. even define what is 'not god' creates nothing more than a contrast - still in reference to a concept of what god 'is.'

Try to think of nothing when the God concept is introduced. Now try to give this concept one universal meaning that will result in no 'holy' wars - no difference of opinion among this planet's 7 billion now being served.

So, in speaking of our relationship with technology, what does an enhanced ability to explore reveal? the observer plays a role in the shape of creation. there is no end to the infinitely small and large scale, every limit is simply a new horizon to be met, explored.. a new cause and inspiration for invention so the next discovery can be made - there is no limit.

all matter is composed of the same parts and particles, molecules drawn together but also moving, exchanging - every material thing reconstituting regularly. Drawn together to function in one form or another, but made of dynamic and constantly changing matter.

bearing in mind this fundamental oneness, what is the distinction, one thing to another? and if the distinction disappears at some point, then what 'is'? Ultimately, all 'is' nothing except that it is created (?)

So, what is it to create a 'god-mind'? and why does this come with a concept of 'revolutions require destruction of previous systems,' in this instance, through our very own creations?

"Change the requirements. find peaceful progress. and remember to back up your files. :)"

Well said Terra, we never know when we may mine some more gems of wisdom out of "previous so called failures" or what techies call obsolete. Don't we learn from mistakes just as well as from success? Also why not build love into the equation, or develop laws that any future development of AI must somehow include love. Without compassion is it really "Intelligent" to begin with? I am looking at this from several angles from the natural evolution of alchemical expression, the mind creating mind, or man usurping Gods power in some promethean act or grand juxtaposition of man, or from the transhumanist inevitabilty perspective. (Sorry for all the words, I had coffee late in the day :) I doubt they aren't wrestling with much of the same but I get over to M.I.T like never in my life...lol..so I would only hope so. But much like the harnessing of the Atom, this seems to be closed off much from the general public and it's very likely these types of decisions are happening behind closed doors. If an artificial intelligence comes about, is that nature evolving itself again through man's actions? Or is it more luciferian in a way and it's man overstepping the boundries of destiny? Many Rabbit holes.....still having fun ; )
