i went in for a second viewing of 2010:TimeForChange this evening. my mother, who is visiting from out of town, asked i would go with her and the friend she is traveling with. while watching this time, i was overcome with gratitude for the movie, for what it represents, and for the fact that this community exists. it gives me an overwhelming sense of hope and empowerment.

i was also surprised and elated that my mom's friend, for whom much of the material was very foreign, and who i know bears skeptical eyes when it comes to matter of anything "progressive," immediately began asking me questions afterwards. it seemed she was most interested in cultural reasons behind why some areas "take" more to ideas of sustainability than others, and it was wonderful to hear her discussing how she could make changes in her life.

so anyway...expressions of gratitude abound. thank you all. infinitely. :)

What Time Is It?

I liked having the 'second time' absorption to really really appreciate the fullness of it.
