its actually two separate black ballpoint pen drawings, the ganesha and the flaming astral eyeball, i put em together and coloured em on photoshop using photo filters. the stars are tiny lens flares. oh shit i forgot, a magician's never supposed to reveal......... :P

South Africa's in a weird place right now, we're hosting the FIFA world cup this year, so everyone is sorta caught up in the lucrative allure of that, meanwhile, we're in the middle of an electricity infrastructure crisis, and to fix that, they're tryin to charge everyone 35% more over 2 years, an extra 35% in the 2nd year, so people aren't too happy with that what with the rising cost of living and the delicate state of jobs and businesses. there's political tensions and scandals cos we've just elected a new ANC president last year, and he's got a history of corruption and dodgy dealings. there's been xenophobic unrest as poor foreigners/refugees from neighbouring countries are coming up against resistance from groups in impoverished communities. The weather here has been strange, lots of weird storms and weather patterns shifting very rapidly. The world IS changing into a new gear and it's resonating on so many levels right now man.
other than the above woes, its life and survival as usual, its still pretty beautiful here and there's still a sign or two of hope for positive progress.

Just today we had a meeting about changes in our office and its primarily because there's money involved and besides is so fucking repetitious!!! it's an architecture firm that is just business, money and no creativity involved I mean shit we have wall with the 10 rules of the firm and in none of them says something 'bout creativity!!! pfff... so it just psis me off... for the moment I'm there 'cuz is not like I'm not learning so I'm taking my time to look for a better opportunity somewhere more forward and that cares about my opinion =D...
San Antonio is a beautiful city I specially like the downtown... this city is in majority republican so they don't really buy global warming or at least they don't think is man-made and they are intelligent people so I try to understand them and even though I disagree I don't impose my ideas (not every time =P) ... but there is an environmental group that I go to so there is also the other side of the coin... as far as I know there are lots of people disappointed with Obama... there is a health care issue bla, bla...
... but there is hope like you said... I also see good things happening like this website and the people behind them I got to met them at the riality sadwich retreat and they really inspired me and after that my life changed and is still changing... all in all these are great times to be alive....
