At the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, in the 1960's, there was once a psychologist by the name of Fritz Perls. He is the father of the term "Now Trip" and introduced the practice in hopes of bringing people to live more in the moment... NOW. Human beings are far too hung up in the past, and always trying to live in an unstable future.
So I want to invite you to share your moments, however simple, however deep. What are you experiencing now in your being? What do you feel? See? Smell? Hear? Taste? Sense? How deeply do you experience these things? Who are you? How are you? What are you?... right now.
Whether your Now Trip is one short, snappy line or a poetic epic of the senses, it means something important to you, and can show you how to really look at life, day by day, moment by moment... right now. Are you getting it?
My goal is to collect enough Now Trips from my fellow Northwesterners to put together an inspirational collective. Something a misguided, lost soul, such as I have been before, might wake up, tune in, and turn on. Help me with my vision.
Send your Now Trips to me at a.porter1186@yahoo.com.
Please include your name, age, city, and state for recognition, otherwise you will be known as "Anonymous."
Thanks Everyone! <3 Amber
