On the 1st April 2012, Edinburgh will implement a new agenda. An agenda bent on destroying grassroots art in the city.

Sometimes I feel my brain exploding. Like every thought is a bomb backed up by a heavy handed militia intent on reducing the satisfaction of my waking life to rubble. It's hard for me to be mad at them. They are after all, my thoughts, my mind militia. Everything here is self imposed, or certainly self perpetuated.

I've packed my 'life' away into two boxes. Whatever didn't fit into the boxes will be left behind. These two boxes will be locked away in the shed of a family member and I won't see their contents for quite some time. Am I concerned about this? No. Sometimes you have to pack some things away and come back to them at some point to remind yourself of who you were.

The last three nights has seen a growing violence and escalation in rioting all over England's capital. I watch from my television set not so far away from where these displays of anguish were taking place.

Recently, an Evolver helped me to realize a few things about myself. I wait for things to happen to me, and in this waiting around I have become frustrated and angry with the world around me. It became clear to me that it would impossible to change the world around me without first allowing a change in myself for such a world to appear.

I need to make something happen.

Recently I posted an entry about why we are waiting. Why 'we' wait around for things to change in our lives, why 'we' give over power to others.

I was only after a couple of replies to the post that I realized how self-indulgent I was being. Externalizing. Making my problems the problems of all. The world as I saw it.

The other day I saw '2012: A Time for Change', the fantastic documentary I'm sure most of you are familiar with. I feel that the ideas put across in the film for it to be 'we' who together create the future is really refreshing instead of waiting around for stuff to happen.
