It could be heaven. It could be hell. We are reaching the critical point where your mind, attitude and consciousness will help to determine the final outcome of 2012 - a point where we collectively need to answer the call to wake up and make a move to a higher level or fall into the darkness of unconsciousness…
A Pollyanna - raised on Disney classics in which good triumphs over evil -- the power of animation to shape my mind and that of countless others in their childhood children has long been a part of our popular culture. I am part of the Disney Classic Generation http://bit.ly/epFtXm - which began in 1938 and continues to shape the stories we tell and the way we do so…the story of good over evil….positive over negative, light over darkness…
Now with new media tools it is much easier to communicate and share good energy, thoughts and vibrations through the power of social media. Disney belonged to the old media Empire where a single message was delivered to the masses again and again. They could do little more than sit and receive it. Now we are able to share bits and pieces of content and comment on it… Further, it can be created by anyone who possesses imagination and will power to do so… Users may have to work harder to figure out what a piece means and where it fits in our notion of “popular culture” as the piece wanders further away from being entertainment to that point where it becomes a different experience where there is a gap that you must fill in – what is that gap?
Once when I was in art school and we were comparing a Matisse painting to a piece done by a Photo realist painter. The Matisse work was open for interpretation by the viewer and indeed needed the viewer to complete the realization of the piece -- to fill in the gaps. While the latter was done as close as possible to the 3-D reality that most humans believe to be the only one in the universe - at the end of the day it was an “insult to the one’s intelligence” as there were no gaps left for the perceiver to fill in….
