Bio

I'm an artist deeply interested in geometry, geodesics, perspective, and transcendent beauty. I grew up in the psychedelic sixties and was greatly influenced by them. My favorite writers and thinkers include Aldous Huxley, Alan Watts, Allen Ginsberg, Hakim Bey, Terence McKenna, Robert Anton Wilson, and Buckminster Fuller. I enjoy science fiction and fantasy. I studied art in Italy and have traveled in western Europe, Asia, and North America. I have knowledge of Italian and French. I feel there is a great deal of room for improvement in the state of human societies, including my own, and much need for further human evolution, which depends upon the actions and integrity of each individual.

Skills and talents

I have the skills and experience of a lifetime in drawing and painting, including knowledge of the human figure, composition, color, light and shade. I am highly practiced in several traditional art media and in Photoshop. I'm versed in the geometry of the Platonic solids and the geodesic geometry which derives from them, and am familiar with Bucky Fuller's energetic-synergetic geometry. I have designed and built a unique geodesic dome supporting an immersive three-dimensional painting. I have made a lifelong study of perspective, particularly curvilinear perspective, in which I have developed unique knowledge of certain aspects, making possible my creation of the above-mentioned geodesic dome. I have designed a hub for the construction of an octet truss, a highly efficient architectural support structure, which can be manufactured on a relatively low-tech, do-it-yourself-basis from plywood or other materials. I have designed and produced a three-dimensional calendar based upon the twelve faces of the dodecahedron, incorporating a non-linear representation of time as it flows in spiraling cycles. I have written the full-length script for a graphic novel which is my current project.

Movies I've Seen Recently

None lately. I very much want to see the film "Agora," about the ancient Alexandrian philosopher Hypatia, which is due for release this coming Winter.
