For thousands of years the tribes of North and South America have come together in “consejos” or councils to share stories, teachings and prayers. Following this legacy and since 1991 the event known as Consejo de Visiones-Guardianes de la Tierra (Spanish for Vision Councils- Guardians of the Earth) has been held in different parts of Mexico and Latin America. To date there have been a total of 9 national gatherings and 8 regional ones in Mexico, in total there have been and a total of 3 International gatherings; the First Continental Bioregional Gathering in Meztitla, Tepoztlan, Mexico (1996), the “Call of the Condor” in Cusco, Peru (2003) and the “Call of the Hummingbird” in Brazil (2005).

The Consejo de Visiones is a multidisciplinary educational event focused on catalyzing social and environmental regeneration. It is a forum for the exchange of tools in such varied subjects as natural medicine, organic agriculture, permaculture, bioregionalisim, consensus decision-making, alternative education, holistic health, spiritual traditions, shamanism, sacred calendars, etc.

The event is focused on creating a seven-day “Eco-Peace Village”, putting into practice values and ideas such as conscious collaboration, creativity, celebration of diversity, tolerance, social justice, earth regeneration and respect for all living things.

Actino localy and thinking globaly. Day by day building the fooundatios for a sustainable and peacfull future for all. The tools for creating this OTHER WORLD IS POSSIBLE are already in our hands. The way is unification an concreate action.
