Love to sail and until last month (too much ice on the dock) lived on my boat here in Sheepshead Bay for a year and a half.
I am an artist/singer songwriter who has made a living as a contractor. I am a carpenter/ electrician/ tileman/plumber/ framer/taper/sheetrocker etc...and with someones help will hopefully learn enough about organic farming to teach little kids in my daughters school how to grow their own vegetables in the next 2 weeks.(planting time is upon us) I also have a real interest in economics. The numbers have acted as signposts if only to point the direction we shouldn't go.
I like many others have had impressions (bordering on visions) of both specific events and broader global changes that have been fairly accurate (although not always soothing) and understand that we must do this together and create an entirely new paradigm. Seems like a good time to create a self sustaining community (or many) in a rural areas also. Lets brainstorm and combine resources and create a new environment not from fear, but from joy and excitement.
My daughter laughs constantly and makes fun of me often.
I suspect there is a very old soul there greatly amused by my awkward efforts at this go around.
