Can the Grass be Greener?

Yesterday I was blessed in many ways to be in the presence of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche at a group discussion and blessing at the Shambhala Center of Atlanta. Not only was the energy fantastic, but so was the presence of such a strong and peaceful spirit.

Humility... A Lost Art?

It is hard to relate to those in denial, which is odd, since we all have experienced feelings of denial towards certain aspects of our lives. We may deny truths out of fear or out of ignorance, but we have one common link that binds us: We all, at some point have denied the truth. At times, this denial can become so strong that it can ruin lives, nations, and even…potentially…a planet.

Transcendence through Samsara

As humans, we have choices, and are very lucky in the choices we are given. We can choose how we want to behave, who we associate with, and we ultimately choose the kind of person we want to be. It is wise to be consciously aware of every decision we make, for any option could be the decision that may take us to or lead us astray from consciousness.

"Banish the word 'struggle' from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we have been waiting for." — Hopi elders

About Me

Bio

I am 21 years old and currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I am attending Georgia State University for a degree in Geology. I am a newly turned pursuer of conciousness. Of course, everything happens for a reason so I suppose that I am not newly turned, since I have always been on the path of pursing knowledge of conciousness ; so, I have just recently began activley pursuing knowledge of conciousness and it's infinite possibilitess. My hope is to incorporate my degree with the growth and changes of our mother, the earth. After all, we have cosmic blueprints in the very soil we walk on and in the crystals we use for energy. I love to go to festivals and meet new people. I was once told by someone very wise "Festivals are the modern day rituals." And I completely agree.
