NAVIGATING TOWARD 2012

NAVIGATING TOWARD 2012

Opportunities on the event horizon

•1. Oil companies realize they are liquid transportation companies and start to move fresh water to needy places on the planet.

•2. Major engineering companies respond to rising seas and create canals that take the excess water into barren lowlands inside the continents where it is needed.

New definitions of Wild

"The Oxford English Dictionary has it this way:

Of animals - not tame, undomesticated, unruly.

Of plants - not cultivated.

Of land - uninhabited, uncultivated.

Of foodcrops - produced or yielded without cultivation.

About Me

Bio

Recently I've come to realize the primacy of place, and the importance of "keeping it local." To be self-sufficient and sustainable, the economic structures and systems of survival we depend on should be designed and maintained in such a way as to be able to provide for the essentials of life - including culture and spirituality - from the resources that are available in ones own biotic community and geographic region. Mankind has been living too long as if it were beyond the laws of nature. We must re-learn from wild nature how to live by its laws, and remove the imposed control systems of civilization that work to unbalance natural order.
