So what does it mean to have a planet in each sign? The interactions are so complex, and one can not just think in terms of positive or negative relationship. One must instead consider the elements, energies, and qualities that the planets possess; and analyze if the influence they exert is pure or tainted. A planet can either be at home in its sign where it is happy and exerts normal influence. If the planet is in detriment it is in the sign opposite its ruler and influence is blunted. If a planet is exalted its qualities are heightened or stimulated by a sign that gives it praise. If a planet is fallen its power is diminished or scattered in a sign that does not welcome it. Here is a quick little guide to help better understand.

Aries - Mars is home, Venus in detriment, Sun is exalted, Saturn is fallen.

Taurus - Venus is home, Pluto is in detriment, Mars is in detriment, Moon is
exalted, Uranus is fallen

Gemini - Mercury is home, Jupiter in detriment,

Cancer - Moon is home, Saturn in detriment, Jupiter is exalted, Mars is fallen

Leo - Sun is home, Uranus in detriment, Neptune is exalted

Virgo - Mercury is both home and exalted, Jupiter and Neptune are in detriment, Venus & Pluto are fallen

Libra - Venus is home, Mars in detriment, Saturn is exalted, Sun is fallen

Scorpio - Mars and Pluto are home, Venus is in detriment, Uranus is exalted, Moon is fallen

Capricorn - Saturn is home, Moon in detriment, Mars is exalted, Jupiter is fallen

Aquarius - Uranus & Capricorn are home, Sun in detriment, Neptune is fallen

Next time I'll discuss what all of that means.
