( I originally posted this as a comment for Meg Rivers’ blog / post about a dream study. If anyone has gotten to read Y:The Last Man please post your comments and thoughts about the series.)

There is a Graphic Novel series called Y: The Last Man.

In this series Yorick Brown and his pet monkey are the only living mammals’ with Y Chromosomes alive on planet earth. With the help of Dr. Allison Mann and Agent 355, Yorick Brown goes on a 5 year quest to try and save ‘man kind’ and his girlfriend Beth from the Australian Outback.

In the series Yorick Brown has a series of dreams about his girlfriend Beth who he desperately wants’ to save and at some point marry. I won’t give anything away other then the basic plot line. Now to my point.

If you read Y: The Last Man pay close attention to the dreams Yorick Brown has about Beth, Allison, and 355. If you do then you will be able to figure out the cores of events in the series before they even happen. Also Brian K Vaughn (creator of Y: The Last Man) dedicates a whole chapter to The Collective Conscious also known as Morphic Resonance.

Morphic Resonance is the socio-biological interconnectedness of species.

Basically it means our genes are receivers capable of transmitting and obtaining information through the unseen “frequency” that unites all life on the planet.

An example would be:

Doing Math homework later at night after all your classmates have done it. If 30 students are seeking the answer to the same Math questions then the first child to finish homework will have a harder time getting the answers because they have to dig deeper into themselves and the Collective Consciousness. However when the last child does the same Math homework they will have a easy time doing Math because the other 29 students did the same homework and the information sent from their brains to the Collective Conscious is fresh.

(I hope that makes some sense)

Another example would be:
How come the Egyptians and Mayans built Pyramids at the exact same time in history. Yet both cavitations are millions of miles away from each other.

Also Morphic Resonance is what is believed to explain great leaps in Science, Technology, Human Evolution, and mass Social Changes in human society.

I highly recommend checking this series out because Brian K Vaughn obviously is trying to communicate this information to his readers through art and fiction.

Y the Last Man is an amazing

Y the Last Man is an amazing comic book, I loved it. I would also like to point out that midway through the 3rd season of LOST Brian K. Vaughn came on as a writer for the show, also contributing to getting a lot of fringe ideas out to the masses. I do believe that Y the Last Man is also going to a have a movie coming out.
