Returning to the college scene was like returning to the Wild. As a new senior, I'm familiar with the routines of the school and the classmen beneath me. It's like a worn hunting ground. I don't know why it was such a mystery to me before.

I do have poisonous past relationships that I thought were digested and recapitulated until I run into an old roommate or scene; and then I'm experiencing an old self. It's a delectable challenge of consuming your precarious conditioning and shitting out golden mead for the party.

I can't help but liken graduating college to Death. It's a certainty looming ahead that everyone would rather just not address. Party and enjoy the blissful ignorance while it lasts, I get it. But for me, it sharpens the experience, infusing every moment with meaning. Every weekend will be the last hurrah. Keep everything tight and perfect, and then any moment would be a proper end.

I hope this will eventually be my perspective on the real Death. I talk big game but who knows when you come nose to nose with the reaper.

Stalking the Self and Power on Campus -- LOL sounds like a jr. castaneda blog

Still, I'll see what this overgrown underdeveloped urban sprawl has to offer this year.

Thinking about making a nifty pocket shrine to play with.
