If a corrupt corporation offered you a million dollars to be their cover person, but you then redirected that money towards something like Evolver, would it be worth it? Hypotheticals are not always as useful as perpetual application of pure intent, but hey, sometimes it's fun.

The whole anti movement is quite comical. (More coming on this)

I'm hesitant to say, now, yes, take every corporation on a case by case, specific basis where the qualities of the opportunity are determined when it arises.

As long as disclaimer are published in some form stating:

"(Our Company) does not necessarily endorse all actions performed by these sponsors. We condone organic and environmentally responsible behavior in every sense."

Basically the idea is, 'how is this corporate-grassroots merger going to play out?' Let's initiate the process and start dialogues with McDonalds and other such entities. Time is now.

I don't think you realize

I don't think you realize that $1 million is really not that much money, and, the corporation (whomever it might be) would find a way to take it back from you after getting what they wanted from you. They would accuse you of violating some contractual element or, worse yet, some law.

The ultimate contradiction

The ultimate contradiction in the Robin Hood ethic. Can you take money from the rich and give it too the poor and not expect the rich to come looking for you or to punish the poor? Everything, good and bad has consequences.

As far as the corporate - grassroots - merger, the corporate types don't see it as a merger, they always see the grassroots as an acquisition. A new piece of their marketing apparatus, a tool to use to get at a new market.

If they could, Pepsi would have a pavilion at Burning Man. Not because they have any love of free-for-all-art-festival-culture-raves, but because they want to appeal to self professed anti-corporate suburban kids who saw the videos of the Pepsi pavilion on youtube.

These two world visions are totally incompatible. Walmart can not comprehend gift culture, any more than say, Genghis Khan could comprehend UNICEF.

Inevitable corporate transformation

But isn't it destined that current energy and corporate powerplayers are going to adopt new energy technologies and sustainable-organic practices? We can't just infinitely label them as corrupt, even though that may currently be the case.
