If you think about it, a few hundred years is not so long. Recall some of your favorite people--inspiring figures or heroes, especially from the past. They likely seemed to have ideas ahead of the time in which they lived, ideas which were more evolved than what the society at large at that time was capable of handling, understanding, integrating. Perhaps where we are now, many years later, comes close to what they imagined. Maybe that is partly becausethey imagined it.

Perhaps the seeds of our deepest, most sincere dreams and hopes in this life--regardless of if we are fortunate enough see them fully and completely manifest through our efforts--take root somewhere, and flower eventually, tangibly, when the time and place is ripe for them. Even if it is very far away and hundreds of years deep in this world.

just some thoughts after listening to a Jean Houston talk.
