I saw his show that the comment originated from. It was over all a good show but this talk about aliens? Non-sense! I didn't know he was British!! That explains the anti alien agenda. I wonder if its a last ditch effort because I hear Hawking is very ill at the moment. They have to put out disinformation for when they really do disclose though. If they didn't how could they make the people go nuts? With shows like V?

I think that many people, when thinking about extra terrestrial life make the sad mistake of assuming that if we encountered alien life, they would be on a similar plane of consciousness to us.

when you walk by a colony of ants, you might stop for a second and notice that they are there, or you might even step on their colony and destroy the whole thing in one sweep of your shoe. Do you try and explain to them human knowledge? probably not...

THe human race is such an infant compared to the spans of time that have already gone by since the formation of stars and planets.
for us to think that aliens would be landing on our planet in ships is like the cavemen thinking that we would one day achieve aviation by learning to flap our arms hard enough... we really must think more creatively than that.

further more, any civilization advanced enough to perform interplanetary travel outside of our solar system will simply have no need for Earths resources. What they will want, if anything, is the energy from our sun. For that is where the real power is at.

and finally, if they do choose to meet us, it will be on their terms, and they will have had the technology to observe us from light-years away for a very long time. We project so many radio waves out into space anyway, that if they're out there, they've already seen us. It will not be us finding them...

so all in all, we should humble up a bit, and accept that there is no reason to fear aliens at all. if they wanted us dead, we would be. All we can really do is keep on learning new things, and try and be nice.

I hear lots of assumptions about unknown beings, whether they exist or not. I have my beliefs, based on experiences, but surely I can't make any assumptions. I think Hawking is simply saying, assume nothing.
Ditto on the urge to seek a messiah from outer space being misplaced hysteria. We were born on this planet, it's our responsibility to take care of it and the business done here. So chop wood, carry water and figure out what's real.

We picture extra terrestrials much of the time as organisms made of flesh, whatever the fundamental element (carbon, silicon, ect) that have relatively big enough "bodies" to be seen by us and are at the same time small enough to walk (or fly, maniftest, ect) the Earth

there is an equally likely chance however, that when we look with our telescopes into the night sky, that we are actually seeing them and don't even realize it.
while it is well known that stars are as alive as any other organisms, we don't attribute them to have any kinds of consciousness-
but does a tree have a consciousness? Just because we cannot communicate with it, does not meet that it does not.

also, there is an idea that interstellar dust clouds hundreds of light years across could actually act as MASSIVE brains, with our equivalent of synaptic gaps that span larger that the diameter of out entire planet, transferring energy and functioning with a level of intelligence completely unfathomable to us. Science has not rules this possibility out (according to what i've heard), and so the chance exists that to whatever intelligent life is out there, we could be so unbelievably small (or maybe massive), that any kind of physical contact would be impossible

Seems that this idea has gained quite a lot of popularity lately. So...the idea that only "we can save ourselves". Can someone, FOR ONCE, expand on what they mean by this? The way I see it, many of us are *trying* to do just this, and look where it gets us. We get fucked by big corporations...the police and the military are more out of control than they've ever been (or rather, they are under COMPLETE control by the dark elite) and the world is in dire straights, the likes of which we've never seen before. The more good we try to accomplish, the more awareness we try to spread, the more enlightenment we try to share with the masses, the worse things get. We have a global tyranny on our hands, one that is Satanic (literally), our human rights are being stripped right out from under us while the brainwashed masses refuse to notice, and yet we have all these holier than thou preachers telling us that only we can save ourselves. Well guess what brothers and sisters...it ain't working. The Earth herself needs to be saved. The children of the world need to be saved. The animals need to be saved. The oceans and the forests need to be saved. But only WE can do it? Well, we've been trying and trying and trying and trying since the 1960s, and it's gotten us NOWHERE due to the fact that the elite negate every attempt we ever made to improve the conditions of our world. So I take exception to the idea that hoping for divine intervention is a "cop-out". It most certainly is not. Without divine intervention, we are fucked fucked fucked. The "new world order" and its armed minions are planning in secret the next steps to implement their tyranny while the vast majority of humans on this planet are busy watching entertainment programs on television. Only we can save ourselves? Well guess what...it ain't gonna happen. Without divine intervention, we are royally FUCKED. Get it yet? I'm very sorry to sound so pessemistic but the reality is that throughout the past several centures, secret societies have amassed so much power without humanity taking notice that they are now dangerously close to realizing their ultimate goal which is nothing short of complete global domination. They have all the weapons. They have all the technology. They own and control all major modes of communication. Unless there is a massive universal and immediate awakening of humanity, there is nothing we can do to stop this syndicate from achieving their goal. And such an awakening is not going to happen. Human beings are too brainwashed to even consider the idea that reality is any different than what they've been conditioned to believe by television. The only remaining hope we have is a cosmic interdimensional shift (or ascension).

1. Are there ET's?
As far as seeing evidence and personal experience, im satisfied yes that there is a myriad of life inhabiting the universe and this planet that is of non-terrestrial origin, it is also possible life on earth orginally came from outer space considering how much life is floating around in space.

2. If so, are they good or bad?
Who knows, my theory based on personal experience, is that there may be a representation of many different higher and lower vibrationals of beings, some completely indifferent to us, others with invested interest in our biology and others with interest in our expanding consciousness, some like to give us knowledge that will help raise the consciousness of our species and therefore help humanity and Gaia, there are many different species, some more physical and some more multi-dimensional and inter-dimensional, some intelligent consciousness looking like 3 dimensional floating geomentric forms, more like entities, others more etheric.

3. Would either sort of ET want anything from our planet?
There are so many natural resources and infinite possible locations of where they can be extracted i doubt that they would bother anymore coming here for resources from Gaia unless it is our DNA and emotions then i think there might be some interest from some beings, we cannot negate there are other planets that have life and ecosystems like earth. Some whistleblowers have even talked of visiting other planets similar to ours.

4. Are they already here?
Yes I think they have been here from the beginning of ancient civilizations and probably before then, one only needs to look at the cave paintings in the south of France to see that alien beings and craft have been painted by early man.

5. If so, for how long, who are they, and what do they want?
I anwered that with my answer to question 4.

6. What is our opportunity and responsibility as an interplanetary species?
to expand our consciousness as a humanity, ability to live in harmony with earth by using zp energy and sustainable resources, by learning languages and ways of communicating that go beyond our anthropogenic scope of traditional communication

7. Why would Stephen Hawking make cautionary statements regarding ET's?
