reasonable suspicion

according to the new law that just passed, if law enforcement believe there is a reasonable suspicion that you are an illegal immigrant, they are required to demand your papers, not just drivers license. The problem with this is that there is no way that it won't lead to racial profiling. It is similar to 1930's Germany in some ways. Even some of the sheriffs and police chiefs in AZ are openly opposing this law

...a case of the fears of the majority trampling the rights of the minority. A slim majority of Americans support this law, and some of our media is somehow taking that as a justification to say that it is a good law.

for the links and for giving more info on this - I did not follow it at all (from across the pond here) and it does not sound like a good law to me. Geez, this is crazy! I can never understand why "we" never learn from history...hmm...
