Next Top Spiritual Author book publishing contest -- help us change the world by winning a major book deal

Getting a book publishing deal these days is as hard as selling a screenplay. So when I heard about The Next Top Spiritual Author online book publishing contest, I figured it was worth a shot. It would certainly get me and my co-author, Camille Leon to actually WRITE our personal evolution book rather than just keep talking about it.

So we signed up in March, posted our video book pitch for "THE EXHILARATION EFFECT: Building the Courage to Take Your Leap of Faith," and have been lobbying our friends to vote for us to go from Round 1 which ends Monday May 3rd to Round 2. Along the way, we've learned that being part of what's essentially "American Idol" for spiritual/personal development authors is as much based on popularity, platform and pizzazz as on content and communication. But we know our book will get published. Whether by Hampton Roads (publisher of "Conversations With God") which is giving the contest's Grand Prize (a guaranteed book deal with promotion) or another publisher, however, we can't yet predict.

We've also learned that we're advocates for people to take LEAPS OF FAITH to evolve their lives. In fact, I'm more excited about getting to share other people's stories in our book than anything else about the project. I've heard more Leaps of Faith stories from people in the past 4 weeks than previously -- despite being a Life & Soul Coach -- and am increasingly amazed at how resiliant and inspiring humans can be.

My leap of faiths have included creating the video book pitch via my Mac's Keynote program. I'm not a video person -- I'm a writer! -- so creating a visually creative slideshow was both daunting and great fun. The inspiring quotes included are meaningful to me and hopefully to others.
