I was led over to NIGHTLINE (the show)and noticed that a lot of the stories they are showing are real fear factor type stuff. End of the world etc..

They had one show that talked about how folks are buying up remodelded missile silo condos for a million dollars.. (Not including supplies mind you)

It irritated me but did not surprise me.

lately I have been trying to gather up some "survival" supplies".. focus on when the power goes down. This activity borders on rational/ vs irrational" behavior in other peoples minds. It is rational to be prepared.. HOW prepared mind you ... some might think you are a kook... not that it should matter neccessarily.. but still.

It irritates me because the reasons why I want to live more simply.. off the grid and be able to "survive" is beause the illusion of the "Have mores" is destroyed.. or will be. Not to sound totally negative.. but most of us here know that. It isn't that it is a bad thing either.. for what IS the "Have mores".. the huge McMansions and SUV's and consumerism... rather thatn living simply and joyfully.

But too many in the survival movement are bent on the FEAR .. they are hunkering down for armeggedon and I personally don't want to live that way. IF things go bad.. which they could.. I don't know.. Would I protect myself? Probably.. .. but I think we need to look into connecting rather than being afraid and terrotorial. It makes me mad that so many focus on that..

I know it sounds fluffy bunny to say "stay towards the light".. but it isn't really..
