The Wolf Moon will be out tonight, the first full moon of 2010, being bigger and brighter because the moon will be in perigee, meaning that it is closer to Earth. "Tonight it will be about 14 percent wider and 30 percent brighter than lesser full Moons of the year, according to Spaceweather.com. It is also known as the wolf moon, a moniker dating back to Native American culture and the notion that hungry wolves howled at the full moon on cold winter nights." There are theories that the full moon makes us act differently or "strange;" being that more than 60 percent of the human body is made of water and the brain is composed of 70 percent water, I can see how these theories can be correct. If the moon can affect the tides in the ocean, what makes us think that it cannot have an effect on our own bodies? Nature has a way of drawing us closer, calling us to be a part of her, to feel the rythms and beauty she has to offer...let her always move you. So if you happen to feel a little "weird" tonight don't be surprised, just like the tides that are being moved, so is the energy in your body, with the help of the splendid full moon. Oh yeah, Mars will be just to left of the moon, you can't miss it...just look for a beautiful red star that doesn't twinkle; and if you're in the area please attend the Love Ceremony in Long Beach and let me know how it is, I'll be at work wishing I was there instead. Enjoy tonight and maybe let out a howl while you're at it.

Total synchronicity

I just wrote of my experience with wolves and howling at the moon in my blog, The wolf moon or full moon is amazing, breathtaking...
much love
Freedom is an inside job

yeah

it also has something to do with our electromagnetic fields. It really amps them up causing us to do things we wouldn't normally do before, in some cases. Ever noticed how the crime rate rises during a full moon?

Yes sir I have... I la la la

Yes sir I have... I la la la love space! It's so amazing =) :sigh: ...maybe that explains why I was getting so many weirdos @work last night, I remeber thinking, what the heck, why is everybody being so stange?! and then I remembered...ah beautiful full moon =)

I was moved

Being that it is now Saturday, I did notice the moon last night. I couldn't believe how bright it was. And its funny because I did something out of the ordinary last night too, which now makes sense. Thanks for the post.

<3 karina

it was incredibly large and

it was incredibly large and bright here in the UK last night. 'the moon was full, like a plate' as jeff buckley might say :-)

thanks for the comments

I'm glad you all enjoyed our beautiful moon, whether it moved you or you just enjoyed it's greatness.

I wrote my last blog under

I wrote my last blog under the wolf moon, and, such a seemingly normal task was turned into just this amazing experience. Some of that is communicated in the blog, ever since starting tai-chi, expanding my horizons locally, and being more truthful in my communications generally I've felt a much better connection with my emotions recently. Then there were minor synchronicities, like having chosen to sit randomly by the window, which happened to be by a guy who was having a conversation about community development, which piqued my interest, who turned out to not only share my name, but, have an interest in working with one of the non-profit orgs I work with, in the same team as me... just wonderful coincidence that night, all around!

May we all continue to see these blessings on us into the new year.
