:Ding: Lightbulb

Everytime I tell myself I'm only going to sign onto Evolver for two minutes it ends up being two hours.

I love reading as many blogs as I possibly can...It makes me smile to see how so much of what I've been thinking about is suddenly right in front of me, written by somebody else. There are constant ideas, comments, and responses being communicated and it's beautiful to watch. Sometimes I feel that I have nothing else to say because you have all said it for me, but it's lovely to see how so many of us are on the same page.

Today I realized how many people I talk to at work, school, or social events that are not on the same page. When the conversation starts going and we're jumping from topic to topic and then BAM I have their attention, and it surprises me because I thought they already knew this or heard about it from somebody else...but no, it's completely new to them. I guess the main reason it surprises me is because I assume that they will just know, like all you Evolvers do on here. But them not knowing makes for an interesting conversation...and the topic does not matter: yoga, earth, being green, spiritual matters, psychedelics, dreams, energy, etc...it gets me excited to talk about these things to others that might not be too familiar with them, but I've noticed that the conversation can be cut short or the topic become a bit overwhelming. You know what I'm talking about right? All of these things that we're passionate about, so when anything like that is brought up in conversation, ohhhhh man can I talk about it for hours...and then I have to catch myself, "Slow down there Carla...breathe" and THEN I don't want to come off as preachy, 'cause yeah I love it, but I want them to be interested enough to potentially love it too, so hey how 'bout we just chat?

So today I just asked, "Have you guys seen the movie The Cove?" ...assuming everyone has, they said "No whats that about" and I'm thinking, "Ok Carla make it short and sweet," so I did and they seemed interested and said they'd watch it soon. So we'll see if that happens, if not I'll just ask every week, "Did you watch The Cove yet?" and I've come to realize that my asking will eventually get old and annoying or they will actually go and rent it; it's worked plenty of times before. I also realized that I hold back on a lot of things, not only out there but on HERE as well, that I want to talk about because I assume people already know or don't care to hear it.

I know I'm just blabbing but it's not only nice to share your ideas with those who know what you're talking about, but also with those who would have maybe never known if you didn't bring it up. So thank you all for your wonderful posts, I hope your message and passions are getting out to those not only HERE but out THERE as well...don't be preachy, just chat! =)
