i was talking to my mom about the world and what we live in today. back when my father was alive he used to talk about all this mombo jumbo that the government is out to get us. and aliens and ufos all that good stuff. when i was younger i was told by my mom that it was all fake and my dad is just crazy. "its all from the beer and the meds he is now taking". but he past away 5 years ago telling me before things will happen in 2012. he left by overdosing and I'm not ashamed. cus i new the effect it prob had on me. my mom in the other hand did not take this fact. she said i sound like my dad now. cus everything he used to talk about i now know its real. but i try to tell my mom but she wont have it. she said "stop trying to be your dad, you cant bring him back by acting like him. he took his own life and your looking at the same path". i was very sad to hear this. but in fact that it didn't bother me cus i still talk to him. it made me sad that my mom is not woken up. "I'm trying to save you mom", " try to save yourself first by getting a job and going back to school". " i don't need saving". " i guess that your answer..." I'm stuck.. and there has to be something later that helps it out. I'm only trying to be happy and stuff. not really to go out and hurt anyone. just sending out knowledge. but my mom says I'm preaching. i guess i cant help that.

These things happen... maybe

These things happen... maybe you'll find a way to show your mom ideas in a different way. I started reading How to Win Friends and Influence People today and something I was struck by was the concept that we don't learn by teaching, we learn by doing... and even further than that, animals and people alike are more likely to adapt quickly if you praise their progress, rather than scold their failures. That really hit me -- because criticism comes naturally to me, but my overall agenda is really constructive criticism. And I've gotten better about knowing when and how to apply it -- and sometimes I just gotta keep my mouth shut... actually more often than I'd like -- but I fumble along, too. I suppose it's part of the process. I hope this makes sense =D Take care!

(Edit... I thought about this further while I was at work today. It's difficult to persuade people in general, but when it comes to parents it can be impossible. To whom we are born-- their being imprints itself deeply upon us -- and there is always some kind of mark. Maybe that's another reason why it's so hard to communicate ideas between parent and child -- because we're made of the same substance, but we're moving through life on different paths. I wish I could say more about the circumstances between you and your family -- but I will say I empathize and it's not a surprise to me you picked up a passion for the knowledge your father sought. Maybe your mom will come to terms with that in her own time. Anyhow, I wish you the best of luck!)

Best regards with love

I understand your plight, if I may make a suggestion. I have always wanted to help friends and family break through the illusions so they may understand a reality based on truth. I understand that very few people want to be preached at, so offering information from a third party is beneficial. Todays fast paced MacDonalds mind is a great excuse for most people to not read so recommending books is futile. I decided to create a blogsite which is based on u-tube videos. My site is dedicated to facilitating the path to truth. There are many categories, 2012, health, science, unveiling dark, unveiling light, spiritual masters etc. (something for everyone) Included is over 150 videos each lasting about 1 to 2 hours ( in 10 minute bites). Each video is presented by the greatest of scientific and spiritual minds in the world today. Find out what your mother is most interested in and then match a video to her interest and you will be surprised at how excited she gets. When you can create the desire and thirst for knowledge together your relationship with you mom will change dramatically. I wish for you the very best NAMASTE my brother. www.godlymanifestation.blogspot.com or if you need a site devoid of spirituality www.toplearner.blogspot.com
