As the special screenings coordinator of Daniel Pinchbeck's film 2012: Time for Change, it's been really exciting for me to see the variety of events that people have created around their screenings of 2012: Time for Change. For instance, the folks at Mindful Metropolis in Chicago hosted a screening that had a reception involving local and sustainable food producers, and was followed by a panel of local experts on the topics covered in the film, such as permaculture and alternative currency.

Similarly, the responses received after the New York theatrical premiere were incredibly energizing. People leaving the theater would approach me and say "what can I do?"

2012 is a film that activates people. I think that aside from being thoroughly entertaining and visually engaging, that it can be used as an activist tool for communities interested in transitioning to a post-carbon lifestyle, permaculture, complementary currency, sustainable design, engineering, and any number of other topics. It's amazing to be taking part in something that, for the first time, I truly believe could be evolving human consciousness for the better.

please feel free to message me if you're interested in setting up a screening or have any contacts at film festivals or activist circles who can help us spread the message!
